Ken Griffey Jr. Hits 600 (Video)

by Nick Underhill on June 9, 2008

It seems like it took forever for him to get here, but it only took one inning Monday night for Griffey to place number 600 in the right field stands. After Jerry Harriston led off the game on an infield single, he stole second and third with Griffey up at the plate. On 3-1 pitch from Mark Hendrickson, Griffey connected on a curveball, placing it neatly into the stands. Griffey, now sixth on the all-time Homerun list, will set his sights on Sammy Sosa who sits one slot above him at 609.

Congratulations Ken, you did it the right way.

The rest of the list.

1. Barry Bonds- 762
2. Hank Aaron- 755
3. Babe Ruth- 714
4. Willie Mays- 660
5. Sammy Sosa- 609
6. Ken Griffey Jr.- 600
