Collins is the Wrong Man for the Job

Watching Doug Collins as a broadcaster for the NBA, I would often turn to my dad or friends and say, “You know what… I like Doug Collins as a commentator. He’s got insight and some good stuff to contribute.” And it was the truth. I do enjoy Collins’ work and appreciate his knowledge. Has MLB Reached Parity?

Just a year ago I sat back and wondered if the game I had loved, will always love, and will continue to love no matter the course it takes, was being destroyed by the same extreme levels of capitalism and poverty that plague our society today. On one axis you had the Yankees and Red Sox, and then at the other end there were the Pirates and Royals. There was royalty, a couple good teams, and then everyone else. [click to continue...]

Can Chipper Hit .400?

Lance Berkman has been amazing. Alfonso Soriano is on a terror like none other. Edinson Volquez, Cliff Lee, and Brandon Webb: phenomenal. There is, however, one man that has been better than the rest, yet, for some reason, he’s flying under the national radar. Replay is a Must

I love the nostalgia of baseball as much as anyone. I respect the tradition and the history of the game as if it was part my families, and in a large way it is. I’m sure many people in this country share the same sentiment. As a whole, we’re reluctant to change. We protect it. There’s this mentality that if it was good enough for generations past, then it should be good enough for us.
