A few guys around the league are probably wishing they could turn back time and grab the magic they had just seven months ago. Chamberlain to the Rotation?
I don’t know what I’m more excited about, the fact that the Steinbrenner era is back in New York or that Joba Chamberlain is on his way to the rotation. Almost Throwing… But not Quite
It’s almost 3 months and I’m almost ready to toss the ol round ball again. I mean, mentally I’m ready, but apparently the physical status of my elbow isn’t there yet. I spoke with a pitcher from Florida A&T who had the surgery roughly around a year ago and tossed a complete game win against us this past weekend. He was explaining to me everything I have been saying to everyone who reads these entries, but coming from someone who actually has returned from it and feels stronger is a plus. Can The Cards Maintain?
I spent the whole winter predicting the end of the Saint Louis Cardinals. I bashed the front office time and again for their complete lack of action, for purging talent and payroll- I predicted that they would finish in last place. Tejada’s 33? So What?
What could possibly come next in the sordid trials and tribulations of Migeul Tejada’s life? Since the Mitchell Report dropped it has just been one thing after another. There’s the steroid speculation, the perjury case, and now, on top of all that, he’s been lying about his age for the last 15 years. This is nothing new, as many players from the Dominican Republic, most notably Julio Franco, have lied about their age, but in Tejada’s case it seems a little more serious. [click to continue...]
